Dress Red Luncheon
The ACTION Health Aging & Wellness Task Force is hosting a “Dress Red Luncheon” to recognize February as Cardiovascular Awareness month. The event will be held on Friday, February 12 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Pine Barn Inn, Danville. The luncheon will commence at 11:00am with social hour to enjoy the photography of Dean Dorman & Marlin R. Wagner. Keynote speaker will be cardiologist Dr. Robert Davis from Bloomsburg Hospital, presenting at 11:45. Lunch will be a fabulous, heart-healthy buffet served at noon, followed by a red fashion show conducted by businesses of downtown Bloomsburg. Participating businesses include Kricket Square, B Green Loft, Little Kid Stuff, Salvation Army, Exclusively You, and Becky’s Costume Shop.
“Our aim is to set aside this day when people can come together where the prevailing message is that heart disease is a profoundly different disease between women and men,” says Dr. Larry Schardt, Chairperson of the Dress Red Luncheon. Both men and women are encouraged to attend this event.
Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance. All proceeds benefit the ACTION Health Aging & Wellness Task Force. Dressing in red attire is encouraged but not required.
